Yanga Pastoral Station had about 100 employees on the books in the early 1900s. Today Yanga Station is a National Park just outside of Balranald in South Western New South Wales. The Homestead has been preserved. National Park Rangers have guided tours or visitors can explore the surrounds without a guided tour. Some of the Homestead rooms have educational displays depicting life on Yanga Station in earlier times. Educational and interesting.
This seemed like it would be a nice National Park and camp site. However, you should definitely heed the "Road Closed' sign if you see it. We got stuck on the road out to Mamanga camp ground after some rain. The camp site (had we made it) looked nice and spacious with a new toilet block and situated right on the river.
